Jim has been a member of Gast Construction his entire life, rising from a laborer to corporate officer. He received a AA degree in 1985 from NDSCS in Architectural Drafting & Estimating. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and skiing. He lives in West Fargo with his wife and 2 children.

Ryan graduated from MSUM in 2000 with a BS in Construction Management. Upon graduation, he joined Gast Construction as a Project Manager. He lives in Hawley, MN with his wife Kirsti and 2 children. He enjoys hunting and fishing when time allows.

Darrell Gast

President

Darrell Gast has been with Gast Construction his whole life.  He is responsible for the recent growth of the company.  His extensive background in all types of construction and crane operations served as the foundation for the companies expansion in services.  He lives in Wahpeton ND with a few months in Phoenix AZ.

Ed came to Gast Construction in 2005 from Pinecrest Construction in Reno, NV. He began his construction career in 2002 after serving 22 years in the military. Ed holds a BA in History, MPA and a Certificate in Construction Management. His lives in Wahpeton with his wife.

Don Bernhagen
Superintendent

Don came to Gast in 1996 with 25 years experience in a number of positions. He is a 1970 graduate of Willmar State Community College with an AS degree. Previously Don worked for TF Powers and served 7 years in the Army National Guard. Don resides in West Fargo with his wife and 2 grown children.

Loretta Meyer
Accountant/Office Manager

Loretta has been with Gast Construction since 1994. Previously she was employed by the former Indian School in Wahpeton for 13 years. She is a native of Wahpeton with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Her free time and money is spent spoiling her grandchildren.

Tim Gast

Tim started in the family business as a summer worker during his primary school years. He graduated from NDSCS in 1981 with an AA in Architectural Drafting & Estimating. He has worked full time for Gast Construction since his graduation. Tim lives in Breckenridge, MN with his wife and 2 sons. On weekends, you can find him at or on the lakes.
